Revive

Well, to say the least it's been a long time after my intial blog entry. It would be fair to assume that for most of this while I didn't have much to say and for the remainder I did not take time out to put it down in words. But I won't be discussing the whys and hows in much detail., No I don't need to and I don't want to. Now to the point of this entry, the title attempts to suggest in one word what this blog post wants to do, yes "revive", it wants to revive my blogging, not that I was much of a blogger previously, but it wants to bring back to life that old writing habit, that putting down of thoughts in your mind that one so often wants to say to someone but never finds the time to or never finds a right person if at all he finds the time to. Okay I assure this isn't going to get any dramatic then this. It's not that I have many thoughts that I want to ooze all over the blog but just some things that would trigger a sequence of writings, may be less frequent at the start but atleast once a week when the habit finally settlesdown so it could be called a "habit".

But what would I be penning down here ? Well, it could be anything from describing a fantastic piece of code, or a piece of code uploaded by me (well this could NOT be fantastic too), to discussing something new in technology for e.g like the embedding of an HTTP Server API in the new JDK - Well is it news to you ? Good if it is ;) - to pointing out a good article to friends, reviews of books I have read, whether Fiction, Autobiographies, Technology etc, books I want to read, movies I have watched, an incident that I would like to share with my freinds (Zulmi, Office, BCS) relatives, colleagues, basically anything that I would want to share with others, that I would like others to know about, would find a mention here.

To get it rolling my next posts would be centering around two things, One a few books read by me, which I personally found interesting and I would like to give you a brief review about and two the project I would be working on. Okay now this would not be exactly the field of interest for many of you, but nevermind, skip it if you don't want to read about it. To those of you who find it interesting, the "project" would small pieces of code I will be working on in my free time. If you are really interested you could inform me and I would keep you updated on that, if not nevermind, I would still probably be updating through posts about them.

Okay I guess, this post has done much of the work that it intended to do. I loved expressing my long accumulated thoughts, and am feeling enthusiastic, after having finally started what I long wanted to and about the next posts, not sure whether you are equally happy reading this or equally enthusiastic about the coming posts, but hey you never know and in any case it's just a blog you can flick off your attention any time of it. So no worries. Okay it's me signing off till the next time.
Cya soon. Sayonara.

Search on for the ultimate digital camera

Hi All of you,

Beginning my first post on my blog was a bit tricky. Sometimes I felt there were so many things to say about me, my hobbies, my opinions, things I like to do and the list continues...which is why I thought of starting this blog in the first place, but on the flipside I am confused about what really to post what to not. How do I begin my first post. To clear up some haze I chose to write about something that I really am looking for right now, something on which I would be glad to receive tips among other stuff. So I took up this topic. Can some of you amateur-turning-on-to-become-advanced users of digital camera guide me on what to look in your first digital camera. What features an amateur/beginner uses the most, whats a turn down etc. Also can some of you with your prominent inside knowledge on digicams offer some models or references to look at. Finally how about buying a DSLR cam as your very first one !!!
Common I need your suggesstions. And while you are at it, would you mind casting your vote for the poll on the right hand side, and just give your opinion on which digicam I should go for ? Please do it, your vote's important.
Just see some of the cams I have short-listed:
1. Sony DSC-H9/B
2. Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ-50
